the hidden house

Something wild is afoot. Some new wonder comes creeping over this hallowed and fallowed ground seeking its imagined home, following fate’s thread toward a lost dwelling, enchanting its otherworldly footprints so the kindred souls might find their way through the haunted forest where the air is thick with folklore and ghosts, where every dusk is a once-upon-a-time.

Can you see it?

Deep in these untamed borderlands stands a stone-and-bone house, a hidden and forbidden den where the wolf- women circle ‘round the midnight hearth and speak of shapeshifters, wild kings, hag-children, old charms and new scripts. Here, we name those wicc’d edge-dwellers our kin. Here, we witness the once- and-future stories as they slow dance with our more beastly shadows, as the world turns and churns, and we cast our spells in the space between what was and what will be.

Behind the red door of The Hidden House is a perpetual midnight where the altar-fires are always lit. You are welcome to join us here, as the Yaga’s cauldron bubbles over with ceremony, story, and spellcraft. Our shared circle is threaded with timely work for the knowing witch, including ritual, word-witchery, divination, and spellwork.

The Full Moon Hour

In the old traditions, the new lunation begins when the moon is full. Each month when that silver hag’s eye in the sky is at its brightest, we will move through our shared ritual, a video hour of wyrd invitations for the wild unseen to participate in your experience. These full moon rituals may include storytelling ceremony, timely discussions of the pertinent energies and the witch’s recommended orientation, spellwork and other symbolic actions to amplify intentions such as manifestation, banishing, healing, and protection, seership and dreamwork, and more. These rituals are presentational in nature and pre- recorded (there are no rituals to join live in The Hidden House) so each participant can decide the right time and place to engage with the work.

The Friday Invitation

Thereafter, each week, participants receive an optional invitation that might become their daily witch’s practice; these invitations include (but are not limited to) body prayer, word-witchery, altar-side practice, long-game spells, and scrying work. The weekly invitations come on Fridays (Freya’s Day) in the form of an audio recording by Danielle Dulsky and/or written text. Only in the event that the full moon falls on or close to Friday will there be no Friday Invitation. The Friday Invitations are where our Hidden House really comes to life. You are very welcome to comment on these weekly invitations, ask questions, and share your ongoing reflections with our coven.

Cross-Quarter Day Bundles and Other Extras

Our Hidden House also includes a revisioned “book cackle” (beginning in spring. like a book club but full of wonder instead of wine), and a bundle of extras for each cross-quarter day; these extras include an additional, dedicated ritual video, curated playlist, journal prompt bundle, and reflective practice of discernment for better “seeing” the witch’s personal story for the previous quarter. Hidden House members also have access to our (off-Facebook) community and considerable Archive Libraries of 200+ body prayer videos, mini-courses, and previously recorded meetings from our Hive of the Holy Wild Flesh and Hag Ways Collective Coven containers. The secret password to The Hag School’s “Spell Library” is also included.

June 20th Full Moon Hour Release ~ The Shining One

Our June hour will be released one day before the full moon, as this is summer solstice. Here, we will work with a guiding tale that illuminates the brightest of shadows, casting our solstice spell for the most enduring desires for ourselves, our kin, and our world.

July 19th : Full Moon Hour Release ~ The Harvest Dreamer

The full Blessing Moon in July speaks the language of fruition, of the fullness of spirit. Here, we will work with the grief-gratitude tension, holding each in one hand as we move toward the First Harvest cross-quarter day.

August 16th : Full Moon Hour Release ~ Welcoming the Witching Moons

Working with paradox energy in a spell container is weighted work and potent medicine. Together, we will name the paradox that emerges from our “grief and gratitude” work in August and work with it to illuminate what we must see, to know what we must know.

The event will be recorded for those who are unable to join live.

October 25th, November 1st, 8th ~ Friday Invitations

November 15th ~ Full Moon Hour Release ~ The Shadow Bride

As we continue our work for the ancestral moons, our Full Moon Hour in November will be rooted in the wisdom of an old, shadow story. Here, we become the “shadow bride,” the one who defeats the predator through her Craft. We’ll also work with early divination work, as the season of seership comes creeping.

November 22nd, 29th, December 6th ~ Friday Invitations

December 13th ~ Full Moon Hour Release ~ Our Longest Night

As the long darkness befalls our “witches’ wants,” we will hone our skills as seer, for ourselves, our kin, and our world. We rest well, and we welcome the quiet season of renewal.

December 20th, 27th, January 3rd, 10th ~ Friday Invitations

Past Work:

February 23rd : Full Moon Hour Release ~ Our House, Hidden and Forbidden

During our first hour-long ritual in The Hidden House, we will gather ‘round our shared hearth for a cusp- of-spring spell inspired the initiatory stories that feature the “hidden house,” the place of deep magick found only by the curious wanderers, those who befriend the freaks and leave offerings at the crossroads. This is the castle made of bone, the forest tower full of cats, the hag’s hut, and the Handless Maiden’s “house of the wild women.” Participants will be invited to consider their inner “hidden house” as our journey begins, to learn to work with this as a tool in their witchcraft as we cast our first spell for a spring desire, as we begin to notice our witch’s orientation for the coming year.

March 1st, 8th, 15th, and 22nd : The weekly work will follow the pre-equinox energies of this potent time, inviting Hidden House members to sense the otherworldly energies afoot through body prayer, writing, and vision work.

March 25th : Full Moon Hour Release ~ The Lost Script

Our March hour is rooted in eclipse season, as the lunar eclipse befalls our daydreams and the solar eclipse of April 8th creeps closer. We will work with underworld stories and mythic images, narrowing our focus to see what we must see and know what we must know. This ceremonial hour includes pathworking, “scripting” the ascent, and sigil work, as we allow a personal story of initiation to step forward and illuminate timely wisdoms.

March 29th, April 5th, April 12th, April 19th : The weekly work will guide Hidden House members across the bridge toward Beltane, as the next cross-quarter day wakes us all wild.

April 23rd: Full Moon Hour Release ~ Memoirs of the Heathen Queen

Our April hour finds us healing and whole, readying ourselves for Beltane. We will work with the archetype of the “ruler” from the old stories, our inner heathen royal who sets and regularly revisions new rules and peculiar boundaries for our work in the world. Here, we will petition the Heathen Queen to come closer, to resource our “summer wants” and slow-dance with our wise and future self.
